I'll start, Dark souls II scholar of the first sin is my favourite dark souls game, albeit because of the dlcs for the most part, but also for the base game itself.

Dark souls isn't hard. It's just made to frustrate you, and once you realize that and quit letting dying bother you the game is incredibly dull and repetitive, once you know an enemies move set you basically know exactly how the fight will play out. Then you're just running around, waiting for an opening to use the same hit combos over and over and over.
I finished 1. I got 4 hours into 2 and realized I didn't want to do this crap anymore.

I want to say it could be worse, but it really couldn't. he picked the one with the worst pve
especially the fucking DLCs. they could have been GOAT, had great designs and bosses (nacho cheese smelter and gank squad notwithstanding) but they're plagued by every basic enemy being the same 7-8 foot tall humanoid with way too much poise and health

But I do that, on my first few playthroughs. If the game has better atmosphere/pve then I'll do more, see: bloodborne, but if those things are lacking then there's really no incentive to do it, see: das2. Which is where pvp comes in. While bloodborne's is a gigantic shitshow, das2's is pretty fun and balanced and I've since sunk countless hours into it.

Barely played SotFS yet so I can't comment much on it's pve or pvp but I enjoyed pvp in Bloodborne, it feels focused more on melee and dodging.
Other than the people who resort to just shooting their gun every time you move to get a riposte and end the fight of course. How do you find winning more important than enjoying the battle? I've never even tried to parry riposte or backstab in this series' pvp.
So all the DS2 apologists are basically just PVPfags?
I thought there were two separate kinds of cancer killing this community but apparently they're one and the same

Dark Souls 2 would have been the best Souls game if it weren't for Soul Memory, Adaptability and weapon durability.
Dark Souls 3 is the worst game in the series.
Bloodborne is the best FROM game.

Soul Memory is shit, but Adaptability is kind of neutral because you level so quickly that you can get to 100/105 AGL without fighting any bosses where it even matters.
Weapon durability was a little too far in the wrong direction, but I'd rather that than it be completely useless like in DS1/3/BB. Keep the system the same and give weapons double their current durability and it'd work fine.

DaSII being a bad game was an opinion that only started to hit autistic levels once Bloodborne and SotFS started existing, otherwise, Bellbro generals were pretty civil for the most part

i went back to play Dark souls 2 on my PS3 and jesus fuck i never noticed how slow everything moved
still enjoyable though i love going through the maps imo Dark souls 3 feels a lot smaller then dark souls 2

I've played Demon's souls, Dark Souls, Dark Souls 2 and now Bloodborne and honestly, I'm getting sick of this whole "watch yet another lolrandom piece of eldritch shit 1-shot you with this gimmicky mechanic you have absolutely no way of predicting, which becomes an irrelevant annoyance as soon as you've died to it once" -thing that the later games have been built around. I don't even care about DS3 anymore. From went from an interesting developer to making parody of itself along the way.
