10 mission.

The game is over after ten 20 minute missions.

Are you KIDDING me, EA?

I paid $60 for a shitty reboot that's only 4 hours long?
Please don't buy this game if you planned on it. I can't believe it's over after 4 hours...
>>
wasnt the first one about as short?
>>
>>340572740
Yes but atleast that one was actually fun!
>>
>>340572740
First one didn't lock basic parkour moves behind a levelling system
>>
>>340572740
>ten 20 minute missions
First one was probably twice as long
>>
>>340572640

>>
>>340573347
I'm pretty sure you didnt complete it in 3 hours your first time, but whatever you say
>>
>>340572640
It's shorter then The Order: 1886.
>>
>>340573468
Who said 3? The game was totally beatable in 4 hours if you ran past all the enemies.

Maybe that's why the sequel forces you to fight every encounter because the game WOULD be beatable in 3 hours if they didn't.
>>
>stamina bar
>grapling hook
>level up system
>open world

>more focus on the shitty story that nobody ever cared about

I wasn't going to buy it anyway
>>
>>340573468
You know some of us actually played the first game, right?

Thank god I didn't buy this piece of shit.
>>
>>340573693
well 10*20 minutes is still closer to 3h than 4 hours and I still don't think you completed it in 4 hours your first time.
>>
>>340572640
the first one took me one sitting, but it was a long sitting, about 7-8 hours.
Still, four is really bad. Hope it has something other than a timetrial mode to make it worthwhile
>>
>>340573767
What does this reply have to do with anything?
>>
>>340573827
>implying I did story mission after story mission back to back

All the story missions are are you running from one end of the city to the other. Plus I did a few side missions. Stop shilling this POS game.

To put things into perspective, I put the disc in at 1:30 today.
>>
>>340573921
Its not exactly your "first time" if you played the first game chucklefuck. If you played ME1 at all you should be able to beat ME2 comfortably in 4hours or less.
>>
>>340574104
I was talking about ME1 the whole time, you dingus!

I played the first 6 missions in the trial and they want £45 from me to get only 4 more story missions? LOL

My cousin was super excited for this game and was counting down days on Facebook and then the day it came out he was so fucking disappointed and said "I beat the whole campaign in two hours."

I thought he was full of shit until I saw this thread.
>>
>>340574391
It's is used for comparison and the other is used for sequential order.

>>
It's mediocre as fuck honestly.
And holy fucking hell, the characters are so god damn bad.
Like that one bitch who's basically an autistic BBT reject who never shuts the fuck up.
At least it runs/looks okay I guess.
Thank god I just bummed it off of my brother instead of paying for this shit.
>>
>>340572640
>A LITERAL speedrunning game can be beaten quickly
>>
>>340572640
Every game can be beaten in one sitting, especially if "beating" means "main lining the story and skipping all the side shit" and the sitting is long enough :^)

it's your own fault for buying AAA console shit
>>
>>340574838
>>340574391
"Then" denotes a tense, ie "Remember that one time we raped Susie behind the cafeteria? Those were good times back *then*."

"Than" denotes a comparison of amounts, ie "Susie got raped many more times behind the cafeteria *than* Judy did."
>>
If you get it on pc, the stuttering in the cutscenes at the very least will quadruple the time it takes to finish the campaign so long as you don't skip the cutscenes.
>>
>>340573468

I did. It wasn't exactly a hard game, and if you run towards anything red, you'll make it through.

I was really excited for this game, but it just looked worse and worse any time new information came out.

Just wondering, do we actually hear this theme song in the game? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwonWE_fGVc

I expected it to play during the end credits but there's no vocals there unlike the Still Alive song from ME1. Don't tell me it's just in some bonus menu.
>>
>>340575812
"Still Alive" was a pretty great song for Mirror's Edge.
>>
could have swore the game was 6 hours . 8 if you're slow
>>
>>340575287
lol how does the first game look better in UE3? haha

looks like tron
>>
>>340575812
Yeah there's a jukebox in the runner base that you can play songs on and this is the first song that comes on when you interact with it.
>>
>>340576473
I honestly don't know, the first game looks just as good if not better in most instances.
Hell, textures legit look much better in ME1.
>>
I don't mind super short games that you finish in a single sitting, in fact I like them if they're well done (i.e. Bayonetta 2).

There's just no way in hell I'd pay $60 for one.
>>
>>340575812
Also, that's another thing that's missing, there's no ambient music in this game.
The final Shard level in the first game was fucking great IMO because of the god-tier music.
In this game the only time there's music is when you're in combat, otherwise it's pretty much nothing.
>>
>>340576703
There's no way you can finish Bayonetta 2 in a single sitting.
>>
Lol COD campaigns AFR longer than that. And those games include a full tier second game in the multiplayer.
>>
crack when?
>>
>>340576860
NEVER EVER! Don't even think about!
>>
>>340576572
>textures legit look much better in ME1
and they don't pop in every few feet like in catalyst.
I figure dice added some kind of lighting day/night system that is way too taxing instead of prebaking. open world was a mistake. I'm surprised its just as bad on PC. well I guess no tat surprised these days..
>>
>>340576860
it's not worth a single playthrough
>>
>>340576793
I did. I stayed home one Sunday and played through the whole thing start to finish. Took me like 8 hours.
>>
>>340577962
What difficulty?
Did you also do the bonus chapters?
Not saying it's impossible I just can't see someone doing that first playthrough, although I was expecting you to say something daft like sub-4 hours so maybe an 8 hour sitting is doable, I'm not sure.
>>
>>340577745
should I just replay the first game then

Hard

>Did you also do the bonus chapters?

You mean those extra things where you just fight hoards of enemies in an arena with no storyline or anything? If so, I played through two of them and got bored. So no, I didn't complete those.

Anyone else here favorite part of Mirrors Edge 1 being the DLC?

That is what we get for living here.
In this open world city where content is plentiful, look at all the irrelevant side missions!

First game had prebaked lighting. Some people claim that means it doesn't count, but if it looked nice, then what's the deal?
