Because piracy is a less effective form of protest than boycotting a game. At least with boycotting publishers see potential customers of they change their ways, with pirates they see people who will never buy their stuff no matter what and therefore have no reason to change.

Right... The major console manufacturer's don't have their own marketplace with no competition because of pirates. Not because they want to dominate and control the market by cutting it into sections that they completely control. DRM or not, they'll still try and fuck you.
Because I want sequels especially if a game is niche. The chances of a sequel is lessened even more. I'm not against it, if it's for something that will generally sell well, but the more niche series and stuff needs more support. I think everyone has at least one series they wish was continued, that was stopped at one point, for whatever reason.
I am not against piracy. I just haven't seen a tutorial on hacking the 3DS that I can understand, and I'd rather have the system work than bricking it due to having no idea what I'm doing.

Again, publishers don't give a shit about your moral faggotry. All they see is a reason to invest more in DRM. And by the way, large corporations are pretty autistic about doing cost/benefit analysis. It's just an opensource eshop clone that can easily load titlekeys.
Titlekeys are basicly keys that communicate to the nintendo servers that you own a game.
Normally you only get them if you actually buy a game from the eshop but because they are all the same for everyone you can just download the keys and get free games.

I hardly buy Nintendo stuff, but when I do I BUY their shit because they support developers. The same with Sony. I don't pirate because it's taking away money from developers who could be using that to make the next sequel I want. Piratefags don't understand this.
PSP could have had more games developed for it but it was killed by piracy. I don't completely hate piracy either. I don't care if the shit comes after the life cycle, but half way through you're basically forcing developers to abandon the platform because no sales.
