I've seen these threads a million times and now I'm that guy.
How'd I do? I mostly followed logical increments sans the case.

But my old PC is totally busted and I need to build a new one ASAP. I was shooting for the 980ti anyway, and the 10XX series came out.
Sites like Newegg are going to have way better deals than single-item shopping.
Dividing that by 2.4 because of the minimum wage in AUS vs US, the price is $461 without the GPU, so that seams fine, but there are probably better prices.

You did good honestly. Didn't fall for the i7 meme, psu will support yoru rig for years, The only issue i have is no SSD. Installing your os on an ssd is a godlike experience. I boot to desktop from off in like 8 seconds.
Otherwise, nice.

Also I don't think 850w is necessary, power requirements are only going down. Although if you're comfortable spending more than you need to get the best quality, then go with it.

I'm still nosying around, the biggest issue is shipping prices in Aus, in all honesty. Newegg is decent pricing, I've checked other sites and it's a decent 10% cheaper on average. Like the 1080 would be 1200AUD on other sites.

I actually added an SSD, it dropped off of the image. SanDisk Extreme Pro 240gb.

seagate is fine
case is fine (if it has sufficient cooling)
ssd makes it perfect. Enjoy anon, you'll be good for 3+ years at least with all that, first upgrade most likely being processor with the way pc games are shittign on them lately.

I still don't know how the SSD was cut off. Good to know, anyway.

shitters can't read.
My i5 3570k managed to bottleneck W3 at 1080p. I need a fucking upgrade but that also means new MOBO...
