Disgaea 2 I tried to get every pirate map but that game takes way too goddamn long in postgame

This is my first time playing FFTA, I just got the final Totema, I could be moving on with the story, but now that I understand how the class system works, I'm gonna be trying to get some more Assassins as well as train up my Red Mage who's fast as fuck despite only being recruited a little while ago. It's really easy to get sucked into just taking on random Clans, I love it.
Getting all the Pirate Maps in DHD took fucking AGES, but it's worth it when you finally hit land of Carnage. I put like 300 hours on my old DHD run before it got wiped, the only thing I had left to do was fighting LoC Pringer X, but oh well.
Sm4sh, MH4, and FFTA2. Loved the original tactics advanced, maybe a little more than A2

I had a lot of fun with the first two and the first is the only one with a likable story imo so I definitely recommend playing them in order.

Play the PSP/Vita versions of Disgaea 1 through 4, as they contain all content of the console release along with extra content. 3 and 4's Vita versions also have all the DLC characters/stories for free (so ~20-30 extra characters in 3 and several extra chapters, and ~20 extra characters in 4 + several extra chapters)
Disgaea 1 is available on PC and is the best way to experience D1, especially since mods are coming around.
If you can only get a few, Disgaea 4 on Vita and Disgaea 5 on PS4 are the best Disgaea games.You can skip Disgaea D2 if you want.
Remember to have fun and go to the Item World if you ever get stuck!

I played 1 on PSP emu, 2 on my ps2 console. I loved 1's story, goat characters and atmosphere and the postgame isnt too ridiculous. 2 has crazier mechanics but the setting isnt as top notch, still very enjoyable though and I liked the plot twist at the end. I heard 3 and 4's storys are even worse than 2's though, is this true? hyped to plow through 3 this winter

3's story is probably the worst out of all of them, mostly because people find the main character insufferable and the plot hard to follow, but the game's setting is stellar since the entire world is just a giant campus. If you don't take 3 seriously, you'll like it.
Disgaea 4's story is right up there with D1's imo. MC is also amazing and generics are significantly more fleshed out.
