I love it. I still have a copy and once a year or two replay it to completion. Takes like an afternoon, and is so relaxing.

I was severely disappointed that the 2nd game ditched the unique portrait ghosts that the first game had. Those were the highlights of the original.

Legit scared me as a kid and loved every second of it. Sometimes I'm glad its so short. One can play through it in an afternoon and reexperience all the nostalgia at once. It's SUPER sugoi.

Not the guy playin, but I had fun with it. Its by no means a bad game. There quite a few puzzles to get special items that were pretty cleverly designed and fun to solve. My biggest problem with it was how they dropped the super spooky atmosphere for a much more cartoon-y and nintendy atmosphere. I think the first one was so memorable to me because of that atmosphere of legit fear. And the memorable portrait ghosts. I'll never forget encountering Neville for the first time and thinking..."Holy shit that's an actual ghost. Fuck that."
