alright /v/, I'm going for an achievement run on Skyrim (never did it) and I was going to use a tank build for ease of relaxing and cruising through the story. comment below the best tank strategy and attributes

Stealth archer is easiest.
If you are going to play a melee, 2-hand orc is easiest, since you can just Beserker Rage whatever dungeon boss you are on to EZ-mode the only challenge in the average quest.

OP here. Stealth archer is my favorite build. I've used it more than enough times and thought it was time for something different. Plus, it takes forever to set up, but it's worth it to anyone who's never used the stealth archer build.

OP here, I've always used daggers with my stealth archer build. If you have your Sneak Skill at 100 and have upgraded the entire constellation, you get a 15x critical hit while sneaking with daggers.

Because lord knows you can't just use the unlock spell anymore as a caster, you have to do lockpicking like all the other saps (except on anything locked by a key. Because lockpicking only works on things that don't require keys)
Magic builds other than Destruction are pretty fun.
For a tank build?
-Breton or Orc (25% magic resist or Berserk with more convenient starting skill bonuses, your choice)
-Heavy armor
-One handed
-Block
-Smithing
-Enchanting
-Alteration for the magic resist perks, and the armor spells will help in the early game
Once you get to a certain point you are practically immune to damage from all sources. Enjoy afk'ing in an ancient dragon's fire breath on Master difficulty.
Scrubs will tell you that Bretons are meant to be mages because of their starting skill bonuses. Those skill bonuses are completely irrelevant in the long run. Only the unique racial bonuses matter. That 25% resist covers ALL types of magic damage, so Bretons are one of the best races for tank builds, especially on higher difficulties. The enemies most likely to kill you are going to be higher level mages spamming destruction spells, so get as much resistance against that shit as you can. MR caps at 85%, by the way.
Physical damage resistance caps out at 80%, which translates to 567 armor. This can easily be achieved with improved Ebony armor, so there's no real need to keep going beyond that if you don't want to. You'll want to keep going with your weapons though, as there's no damage cap.
Restoration is an optional choice. It's more active than opening a menu and chugging potions, and it will give your shield arm something to do other than popping alteration spells and blocking, but it will take perks away from other skills.

it's also worth noting that in restoration there is a perk that causes your healing to restore stamina.
i fucking love this perk it's probably my favorite in the whole game. can really save you in fights and even makes running through the world faster.
Um, For ''tanking'' you can do anything. The way to set up to become invincible is High Alchemy then High Blacksmithing then High Enchanting.

Overpowered as fuck. I hit the armor cap really early, and I could kill a ancient or legendary dragon in a meer seconds. Also because of my armor, I had to play on legendary to face any real danger.

i had a really powerful build.
no armor, focus on lightning spells. get equilibrium spell, invest in restoration. virtually unlitmited health and mana. you can add whichever magic school you want, it was conjuration for me. if you want to go overkill, invest in enchanting and get 4 items to reduce mana cost for destruction 25%. now you can infinetly spam the kamehameha lightning spell.

I'm doing my first playthrough of Skyrim and achieved something similar, got my enchanting to 100 first and smithing good enough to where I could make glass armor, I now have free destruction and restoration spells so I can just rush through everything spamming fireball and fast healing or greater ward forever so that everything dies in 5 seconds and I'm practically invincible. I didn't even get to the quest where I talk to the graybeards yet and I have like 30 hours of mainly just exploring and fighting everything. At this point all I have left is the boring quests and everything I fight won't be a challenge. The only mod I have is that one khajit follower with thousands of unique lines. Are there any good mods that can give me more fun stuff to do? All I really have left is leveling destruction and conjuration to 100, but throwing fire bolts at my frost atronach gets boring after the 100th time.
