Plus the fleet they sent to the Koprulu sector was a small expeditionary force whose orders were OSP (as an excuse to not make an entire race's unit set for the Terran campaign in BW)
The main Earth military is still at home, and they know what went down. I think SC2 missed a big opportunity by not having Earth's full force show up and be the villain every has to fight.

Are we just talking about the first game? If so, I'd say maybe Zerg or Terrans. Zergs will steam roll you if you give them any leeway and Terrans have so much utility they have an answer for anything, plus the ability to build anywhere.
Plus if you attack an enemy's base, usually they'll be so concerned with the army you can sneak a ghost in from another side to prepare a nuclear strike.

Statistically I think Terran had the highest overall win % in the pro circuit. But these were differences as minor as 1-6% between races. Then again these are figures I barely remember from when I stilled played back in 04 so I have no idea if it's changed.

To follow up upon this, was there any other game that did a soundtrack like that? I think that Starcraft's OST is really unique in that regard. I have never heard any other game music do something like that. I know that there were instances of dynamic music like in UT3 but it isn't the same. This was made as a single track that played throughout its entirety before it looped and it's amazing how diverse it is.
