Could Sega make a console come back? Would you want them to? What Sega franchises would you want on launch?

The industry needs a shakeup; it's stale, and much too comfortable for the big three. Imagining the excitement following a Sega console announcement makes me giddy.

As much as I love Sega, they are the most dysfunctional company ever. It's a wonder they lasted so long before getting bought out by Sammy.
All you have to do is read the Sonic Xtreme stories

No and No.

They should not make a console comeback ever. They have been doing exceptionally well as a publisher lately, plus the market space is already unnecessarily big enough as it is. What could they even bring to the table, beyond forcing people to buy a whole system for their games? They would never get enough people for it to happen, and their quality would take a huge decrease. They are in a good position right now, I doubt they want to fuck it up. Personally, I've never been into their old systems much, anyway.

If Sega could somehow magically make a come back, I'll support them. I'll always be a Sega Kid at heart.

Alright, honestly, they would have to build momentum before making their big console comeback.

Nobody in Japan buys console stuff anymore, and Sega, much like any other Japanese company, doesn't give a single fuck about anywhere else in the world.
>>
Sega doesn't have the skill to manage having a console, let alone an IP of consistent quality.
>>
Im honestly pretty tired of games. Im ready for the industry to just nor exist anymore

No and no, the notion that Sega making a console will magically make their games good is retarded. They would be forced to make Halo and Uncharted clones in order to make their console sell, for one. Quirky experimental games like JSR are very risky and they don't move console units.
