The HTC Vive is great and all, but the fact that you're restricted to the size of a room is a massive con to it all. But at the end of the day, we have to go from the ground up, just give it time.
Give it about ~20 more years or so and we'll start to see the prototypes for VR that's controllable via your mind. THAT'S when VR will take off, I promise you.
