Many things that should be taken down stay up due to what I believe are poor standards held by those who hold power on /v/.

A userbase is as bad as they are allowed to be. If the norm behaviour is poor, can we lay blame on just one person? We're all responsible for our own posts, it's just that there is little reason to improve the quality of your posts.
