What does /v/ think of them?I'm a cheap/poorfag myself, so I outright refuse to pay full retail price for any game, this being said, when MP games decrease in price, there's already an established community with skilled/higher level players while the others resell the game or drop off. So games like Overwatch, Rainbow Six, Battlefront, I'll probably never actually play

Depends on the game. Most mainstream AAA titles are designed to die after the new one is released. Competitive ones can be awesome cause the publishers intends it be a long term investment.
If your planning to buy overwatch once the price drops, your in for a long wait. Blizzard ain't really known for dropping price.

It also advertised the modes before launch, but didn't implement them until much later. Overwatch had no pretense of a story mode.
