Opinions on this, /v/?
>playing handhelds in public

I assume it's a Stream Machine? Because otherwise it's Atom-level and almost nothing modern that plays well on a controller is going to work well.
>>340345521
It can play Steam games without needing to stream.
>>340345676
So basically, it can't play any of the games pictured?

Dedicated handhelds are dead. Controller accessories for your phone are the best we'll get now.

It has some sort of 1000+ game library, so I'm not sure. Specs are:
AMD embedded G-Series SoC (formerly codenamed 'Steppe Eagle') with 'Jaguar'-based CPU and GCN-based Radeon graphics with 2 GB of dedicated GPU RAM.
4GB RAM memory (8GB on PRO model)
64GB internal memory (Only if the Stretch Goal is achieved, otherwise: 32GB) (128GB on PRO model)
MicroSD Card Slot.
5-inch Touch screen with 1080p resolution. (Only if the Stretch Goal is achieved, otherwise: 720p.)
USB 3.0 type C
Configurable tactile gamepads.
HDMI video output connection.
Wi-Fi connectivity 5.0GHz
Bluetooth connectivity.
4G mobile network connectivity (PRO model only).

I'd just want it for 4x games or somethin chill like that.
>>340346275
I could go for that. Of course I could just use my windows tablet if I'm playing a game that doesn't need a controller.

>Only if the Stretch Goal is achieved
So this is a kickstarter?
>>340345329
it looks stylish and the library is okay i guess, but what the heck with those controls?
doesnt look uncomfortable though, just weird
and its probably expensive as fuck too
hopefully not
>>340346473
Yes.
>>340346493
Price is around 299€ possibly for standard model, not sure about pro model price.

It would run SteamOS so it would be compatible with the whole library of Linux games which is up to about 2200, but with the hardware originally proposed it would only really be capable of toaster level games.
I think it was indefinitely delayed though so they could revamp the hardware to a more recent AMD SOC. With a low power consumption 14nm Zen+Polaris SOC it would be a lot more capable. Plus the Linux drivers for AMD hardware have seen massive improvements since Catalyst was put out of its misery in favor of the open source stack.

Nothing beats DualShock.
>>340346670
>299€
wow
well, its a handheld "console" basically, ill just wait till the price drops down, thanks for the info
>>340346124
Sounds great if it's real, but your post just made me realize it's a fucking scam.
>only if we meet the stretch goal, lol
>only on the PRO model!! Aren't you a real gamer?? Get the PRO model support tier for only 499 more USD!!
>KIKESTARTER UPDATE: Guys we lost a lot of money and need more, or we can ship out the prototype half as powerful as advertised models to everyone
Not falling for this shit.
