Console games have an advantage in that physical games drop prices like crazy once they come out and you can't beat the prices of most of them even when compared to steam sales. Also there's regular PSN sales as well as Sony lowering prices on their games like recently they've lowered bloodborne to $20 for the game on PSN.

What's the point? PS4 is going to be a toaster when 4.5 comes out. The games you can play on it, you can play on a 4.5 and the experience is probably going to be better - not much better than the PC experience but better than 4 at least. If they sell 4 for $50 or less, because that's what it's going to be worth when 4.5 comes out, then maybe it's worth buying. Otherwise, it's not.
Also, why buy the either 4 or 4.5 anyways? Do you have a toaster? If not, then it's really pointless to buy inferior hardware. If you want that controller feel, buy a controller.
