So I was on the PS3 Deals for PSN, and I noticed Okami HD was on sale for $5.59.
I always wanted to play it, and honestly I thought it was only for Gamecube and Wii.
I see Okami is HD for PS3, so I was wondering if it was worth checking out?
Is PS3 the superior version?
PS3 is the best version yes. Has by far the best graphics and performance (Downscaled 4k!) and the option of the paper filter that's present in the PS2 version and absent in the Wii version.

Yeah it's pretty good. If you're autistic about it, though, it has screen tearing at 1080i/p, so put it at 720p if you want to avoid that.

Having played both the PS2 and PS3 versions, definitely.
People often say they disliked the game for being extremely long and it should have ended at the 8h mark. I played it to the end and wished for more. It's a shame okamiden is horrible on the DS, but still playable. I really wished there was a worthy sequel.

I made this for you guys since there seems to be some confusion.
1080p with 4xMSAA grabs samples from a 4x supersampled image and puts it on the 1080p render. It does not supersample though, so Okami HD is not 4k in any way. That's just how MSAA works.

I had Ookami on the Wii and the HD pics of the ps3 version looks super nice.

ps3 is indeed best version. crisp ass graphics and best controls. this game is long as fuck. I paid like $15 a year ago maybe, and only just now (after over 30 hours) am near the end. the combat could be better but the exploration is fun and the whole thing is so damn charming
