because it contrasted so much with Black Ops 2. BO2 was a small-map, SMG dominated killfest type of game that was very accessible to veterans and newbies alike. Ghosts on the other hand, is only suitable for veterans of the series, who remember the old Infinity Ward style of gameplay. emphasis on tactical positioning and map knowledge, things that weren't required in Black Ops 2.
