Honestly things have changed. It's no longer "loll destroi haus" and destruction has more become a controlled gameplay element you use when you need an advantage. It's a part of the map design and used as a mechanic. It's quite well done.

I think they did it as a way of pandering to consoles. To assist their aim because lol playing a FPS on a console. But they couldn't exactly disable a baked in mechanic for the PC release and it helps the casuals, like the hundreds of Twitch streamers playing the game, anyway. What is wrong with you, anon? The dialogue was cheesy, but you literally do have to communicate and make callouts if you really want to win. You won't make a callout of Havoc, but you'll probably do it when you encounter an operator like Blitz since he's tough to fight in a 1v1 situation.

Yeah nah, Clearance 90 here, there's a shitload of people who use ESP/Wallhacks only because R6 has a horrible anti-cheat. Fairfight. It's fucking shit.
Rainbow six would be decent with better hitreg, NO damage drop off unless it's for pistols and SMG-11. The distances you're shooting are rarely past 20 fucking yards.
If they fix those things and put in an anti-cheat, it might be a decent game. Maybe.
