that's a good thing for the overall balance though, and I Think it isn't true if you double shot
and HL1 shotgun took 8 shots to a mag, HL2 took 6. this means you can weave HL1 shotgun into deeper combos and still have it as a goto if something pops up close, whereas in HL2 you have to be over mindful of how much ammo is actually in the thing
