From what little we know of the localized story, it's already affected it (changed Maiko's job description and everything that happens in the second dungeon), and that's where I draw the line especially for an rpg. Note that I bought Fatal Frame 5 and Xenoblade X as I didn't consider the censorship there heavy enough to be a deal-breaker, so I'm not doing it on principle.

She's a former gravure idol in Japan, which is explicitly a model who does swimsuit and lingerie photoshoots. The second dungeon is about this aspect which is why it has pictures of swimsuit models floating around and Tsubasa changes into a swimsuit at the end to show she has the resolve to do embarassing things too in order to become an idol. The boss is a photographer with impure thoughts who got corrupted by darkness. The localization made Maiko into a regular model, changed all the pictures floating around in the dungeon, made Tsubasa change change into street clothes which isn't supposed to be embarassing yet kept the surprised reaction from the other party members as if it was, and changed the context of the photographer's motivation for corruption to greed. I can't play that knowing it's far removed from the original for no reason.
