i know 3&k is the typical answer but i've gotta go with sonic 2
firing up that game and running through it is one of my favourite ways to spend an afternoon
maybe it's nostalgia cause i had it on my mega drive when i was a kid but didn't get 3&k until the mega collection came out on ps2
best sonic sprite, best music, hype as fuck final level, the pure amazement of becoming super sonic for the first time, ending cutscene that can make me tear up if i'm in the right mood

Why hasn't Sega released Sonic Heroes on Steam? There's already a PC version that works on modern systems. It doesn't seem like it would take much time to add native support for higher resolution monitors and any other minor tweaks for modern PCs.
If this is about quality control, then they shouldn't have released Lost World on PC.
