Villains that did nothing wrong.
only a woman could write this realistic depiction of a female.
>>340258114
so was she cyber cucking with that muscle guy?
Did I interrupt something?

Tell me all the writing in this game is as good as that exchange

OH WAIT, I FORGOT

Everyone is a fucking villain because they slaughter hundreds doing it for a better world and yet the world gets fucked up.sequel never.
>>340258485
The character interactions are usually pretty neat
How about villians that did nothing?
that guy who loves to wear red and he never betrayed anyone in his entired life
>>340258114
>she tricked even her mom
what a massive cunt
Every antagonist called Snake did nothing wrong.

I completely forgot what she did so obviously it must not have been that bad. maybe.
>>340258798
no one in that universe understands the concept of good. The only way they know something was evil was the fucking literal demons
>>340259947
yeah idk what OP's on about, she dies in the prologue
>>340260048
And yet, even at the end when the literal demons came and killed everyone they were still fighting each other.

but she's the heroine

He wanted to rid the world of monsters that wanted to destroy humanity
Chara did literally nothing wrong
I think Garrosh from WoW. I mean yeah he did a lot of wrong things, but it wasn't all his fault. Thrall just pushed Warchieftainship on him and fucked off, and then even when the august celestials said that Garrosh should live, Thrall just executes him.
>>340258114
She definitely cucked Jensen right?

Literally realised everything by herself and tried to do the same thing as main heroine, but didn't trust her enough to let the protagonist to do it. Even pumped her dragon
friend(with her agreement) to fight the flower.
>>340262413
Basically in 2 mercer is the "bad guy" because he starts the virus again and wants to purge all the fucked up things hes seen humanity do. He gets a lot of people who believe his cause and he makes them a symbiote like him to help spread the cause, ie a fresh start for humanity. Blacklight virus was immune to other viruses, didn't show signs of aging, didn't need to eat(consuming biomass like in the games is optional), and gave more strength (the high jumps, fast running, no falling damage, shapeshifting). Basically everyone would be immortal badasses. Then Heller in 2(main character), the guy Alex recruits first off, decides to turn against Alex because "my family died to the virus so its your fault".He then "Kills" Mercer and all is well apparently.
Tldr this series had potential to be amazing, then 2 fucked the story and Rad entertainment got shut down.
>>340263148
>Basically in 2 mercer is the "bad guy" because he starts the virus again and wants to purge all the fucked up things hes seen humanity do
sounds like every edgy jrpg villain ever desu
He knew humanity wouldn't stand a chance. He took the path that would result in fewest deaths.
>>340263148
Damn, I really enjoyed those games too. Didn't know the dev got shut down.
Thanks for the explanation.
>>340259215Something to laugh about?

>>340263406
Did nothing wrong until CCA. Then he went full retard.
>>340258114
>>340263246
Yeah like I said, they ruined the series, it had potential to be amazing. The game play was great in 2 but the story was butchered, aka turning the protag of game 1 into an edgy ebil villain in 2. Then replacing him with an idiot army Sargeant who doesn't even know how to work a military computer.
Absolutely everything right
>>340265005
>>340258798
other people played this gem besides me

"Antagonist" doesn't mean "villain"

He's actuallythe good guy.
Also best character.
>>340262241
>>340263148
you do realize that the people who get turned into virus people fucking DIE, right?
mercer is not the real mercer. he's just a virus imitation.
>>340264908
>griffith anywhere near that list
I can't wait for the ending in 30 years when Guts cleaves his faggot ass in half.
He just wanted to save his people.
>>340266185
>cleaves his faggot ass in half.
when was the last time somebody died in berserk? 20 years ago?
Yo buddy.
You still alive?
>>340266270
I think so. Part of me kinda wishes Miura had just dropped Berserk after Griffith made Guts go nuclear. The tone of the story afterwards is nowhere near as good, especially with all the Puck comic relief every two panels.
>>340266429
Meh PJ was a faggot anyway

>>340266170
Philosophical argument.
Every atom in your body gets replaced over the course of every 8 or so years.

Same shit.

>he thinks consciousness is nonlinear
If your consciousness is the same, you are the same. If it's not, you aren't. It's that simple, the man operating the machine is more important than the machine.

Heller didn't.

Then he fucking let his hair down and his music started playing and I was like "whoooooaaaaa"
>>340260927
>But JC did the same thing
Nah, he didn't. He had to unlock all the restrictions put on on Helios first. Page was not going to let an AI be in any kind of control, but in the Helios-JC merge JC is the bitch.

NOBODY BETTER PUT A FINGER ON MY BUTTERFINGER
Literally didn't do nuffin wrong, after the retcons of Soul Reaver 2 and further games.
And even in the original un-cut Soul Reaver script every single action he does is to affirm that destiny is inescapable and he's truly without any fucking blame for overtaking and ruining Nosgoth.
>>340258114
>>340275641
>>340276056
Foolish raga. Do you think you can escape suffering that easily? You won't change your creation gradient that easily.
>>340277214
But it is his fault. After all, Kain refused to make the sacrifice. It was ALL his own decision at the end of Blood Omen.
>>340277428
If he had made the sacrifice everything would be fucked and the alternate dimensional fuckers would have just poured straight through.
>>340276914
I always liked that entire thing better than Revan TWEEST in KotOR1. Not to mention, you know,he purposely trained you wrong. As a joke.
>>340277513
Yes and? Actions beyond his control do not relieve him of events committed fully under control. Kain was a massive dick and chose to rule the world knowing what it would mean. He only later realize he got bamboozled and tired to resolve the situation.
>>340277428
And after doing so he discovered Moebius's hidden complex where the Chronoplast is and happened upon visions of the future.
So, if Kain makes sure the future from the visions comes to pass and actually happens (which includes, by the way, Raziel killing his ass), then that means it was all pre-ordained and he cannot be blamed for doing the thing he now regrets.
Pretty simple.
