It's idiotic edgy contrarianism. It's underage kids disliking popular things to be cool. When I played it, it was a fucking fantastic looking game with incredible environments and art design, a game-long escort mission that was actually fun instead of making you want to quit in frustration like most games, an interesting story with insightful commentary on racial apartheid, and an ending that made you think. I basically just tune out any of the criticism because it's basically just detractors of the game jerking each other off and all the people that enjoyed it aren't in the comment threads to correct them, they're off enjoying other games instead of griping on the internet about trivial bullshit.
