Whenever I come across a game nowadays that's capped at anything below 90fps with no way to force anything higher I will refuse to play it.
After getting used to 144 fps, 60 fps looks fucking horrible and I get really angry when I can't run all the newest games on max settings with anything higher than 80 fps.

That's actually a good point. There's a damn good number of games that are shipped with 30FPS locks, and an even bigger number of games that ship at 60FPS. Having a monitor with a high refresh rate when most games have FPS caps on them seems kinda dumb.especially when all the good (read: Japanese) games are the ones with the caps

Visually there's a huge difference between 60hz and 144hz.
Outside of the highest end stuff coming out soon there arent really any cards that can consistently keep above 144 fps on max settings to take full advantage of it.
I have a 970 and a 4790k with my VG248QE and even that drops a ton in modern games. It's still much smoother than 60hz regardless.
Gsync and Freesync need to be more widespread and accessible. Those would make even more of a difference.

Freesync/G-sync is a million times more important.
I'd rather game at 60hz on a synced monitor than 144hz on an unsynced one. It's the absolute biggest revolution in display technology in the last decade, but nobody understands how much better it makes games look.
