I used what materials I had and spent the majority of my savings to craft my Grandmaster gear early in the DLC.
By the time I was finished, I had collected enough of the required materials for another 2 sets. It all depends how patient you are.
I preferred the storyline of HoS, but the area and content of B&W was much better.
Both were superb DLCs, a great sendoff to the series. I'll miss it.

Dettlaff andSyannacould easily be called the villains even if you go in to finding out why they do what they do.

Hearts of Stone has best villain in franchise but other than that, B&W blows it out of the water, it's really an expansion. Quests are better, question marks are better, Toussaint is an amazing map, Beauclair is fucking beautiful, Grandmaster and Manticore gear is awesome.

I have finished the main quest. get too far from the city and It tells me I have to go back, I can't leave the city until night of the fang is finished, It turns me around like what happens when you reach the edge of the world. I can fast travel away from the city, but then when I get anywhere near the west area of toussaint it happens again.
I got quests that I can't do or that will fail because of this.

Anyone else want a witcher game that takes place after the convergence but pre-Geralt where the game starts with you being a kid taken by a witcher school. The first few hours of the game could be witcher training and eventually the trial of the grasses. Concept Cat & Concept Bear armours: recolours, and in ursine's case it doesn't have the chainmail on MC (full chain skirt seems way heavy for a witcher)

Lore-Friendly Witchers: collection of stuff to make Geralt's eyebrows white and his (and other witchers') eyes more noticeably witchery.
No Hood: removes the GM Feline's shitty hood. Has options for removing the chainmail on MG+ manticore armour too.
Volumetric Clouds Over Skellige: puts Kaer Morhen's cool mountaintop clouds in the Skellige map, looks real neato.
Triss DLC Hair: gives regular Triss the hair from her DLC outfit, which looks way better imho. Has a few clipping issues on her regular clothes.
The two deactivated ones seem to have issues with v1.21 and/or BaW so they're off at the moment, everything else is fine, this was screenshotted as I typed it.

I mean at that point you haven't interacted much with the crones - later events show how much of a bunch of evil cunts they are - but you can still go to the basement before the story asks you, plus, you know, the whole Hansel and Gretel thing.
Sure it sucks for the Baron, but feels aside let's not forget he's an old and tired asshole, and his wife is an old and tired cuckmistress.
Saving them is not worth giving the crones an all you can eat orphan buffet.

No I have done that quest obviously I have completed the main story, what happens is any radius near the city it comes up that I cant leave because vampires are attacking the city...but obviously I have completed the game. same happens if I fast travel out and go anywhere near the west of toussaint.

I went into it with a Star Trek-esque prime directive type mindset, whereas I didn't like the crones and knew they were evil, but I did as they said because who am I to mess with this situation where the crones give a bountiful harvest and the villagers make sacrifices and are content with it. Yeah it's fucked up, but I got more important shit to deal with. It wasn't till after learning how the crones treated Ciri that I actively wanted them dead

I use griffin too, I play a sign char.
in B&W it has the best extra stats, can use 2 signs in a row, with instakill aard, and loads of sign buffs on the armour geralt is unstoppable
Kaer Morhern armor is best armor. Sadly even with the upgrade it's starting to be inadequate.

I dunno about such a lengthy-ass training montage, but having prequels with a player-created witcher protagonist would be better than a sequel, or fuck, trying to squeeze more out of a well-done saga of Geralt.
