i have a r9 280 right now and i am thinking of upgrading to a 970. do you think its worth it? ill only play in 1080p.
you should just upgrade because that card is glitchy garbage when trying to play dx11 games
There's new cards coming from both nvidia and amd. No reason to waste money on GTX 970 unless you really, really like that gpu.

Still, i'd wait to see the actual benckmarks and reviews. But looks very promising. And there's really no point on getting a 970 right now.

Stop and think for a moment. The RX 480 is an AMD card. There will be a 1060 from Nvidia to compete with it, you're better off waiting for that one or just biting the bullet and getting the 970.
