What are you basing this on?
I've played The Path, The Graveyard, Sunset, Proteus, The Stanley Parable, Gone Home, Dear Esther, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, Jazzpunk, 30 Flights of Lovin, NaissanceE, a number of shitty horror games like Slender that are just walking around, and possibly others I'm forgetting.
I didn't bring any of them up because they are all bad (am I just playing the wrong games?). The only reason Journey was brought up is because it's not completely terrible, and I specifically said I'm not sure it even counts as a walking sim.
This was intended as a knock against walking sims - the only time they approach being good is when they aren't even proper walking sims.

That's why there's an expansion, which probably won't leave you wanting more afterwards.
I haven't gotten far into SSR because it is brutally fuck-your-face-up hard from the get-go, and even the most basic mechanics are cruel.
In most Sokoban games, you just have a 1x1 box. Here it's a 2x1 sausage with two sides, and you must perfectly cook each sausage by having both halves of each side (it rolls over as you push it) touch the grills once and once only.
The thing is you are also a 2x1 character, and the fork is an extension of your body. When you turn, the fork pushes the sausages, so your own movement becomes an exact and precarious method of manipulation.
This is all difficult enough before you discover the demented world mechanics, which I won't talk about.
