I played the Beta, the free running seemed decent because they hadn't really changed much. The unlockable abilities and shit were a retarded idea and side missions were pretty bare and very repetitive. It also never felt very seamless but I thought that was just because I was a bit shit.
A 6.8 is a surprise though, I sort of hoped they'd sort shit out in the final version. I'll probably pick it up at some point since the free running itself is decent like I said, but shit that's a put off

In the first one combat was the only thing that saved it. All the courses had 2-3 ways of pressing space and ctrl at the right time to follow a pre-determined path, for every single level.
Combat actually let you run around an area using movement to position yourself and pull off moves you can't in a regular fps, like kicking people off buildings to steal their gun or diving down staircases with an LMG to kill a hitsquad before they see you.
It was the only thing with any semblance of choice in the game and they nerfed combat to quicktime events and rock-paper-scissors.
