What's the gameplay of the Yakuza games like?
Is it really hands on, or does it play like The Bouncer, where you only control certain things and the rest of it is basically like an interactive movie?
Imagine Shenmue with random encounters and pretty satisfying beatemup gameplay.

Shenmue did QTEs right.
QTEs only happen when you meet the requirements for it during battle and they are quick and to the point and are not the entity of a fight.
They are mostly used to boost damage of an attack or add another little flare on a attack.
the game is a RPG-ish Streets of rage/final fight game with an actually good story and characters.

Y3's story manages to be better than Y5 somehow. I was so disappointed by that.

It's alright. It's repetitive and the AI is retarded, but it's still enjoyable. Reminds me of those parts in Tekken where you could walk around and beat the guards up.
The combat was perfected in Zero, then ruined in 6's demo.

Have you ever played a 2D Beat em up? Final Fight, Streets of Rage, Double Dragon, etc.? It's like that but in 3D, plus an open world with shit tons of minigames.

Only way to make it is to edit all Japanese phrases in sound editor, so they'd match English ones. And this task takes a shitton of time and patience.
They took time to re-edit everything and just replacing files breaks everything.
