It's like "alien planets with tons of different alien races that all have weird rituals and habits that they don't outright explain to you and refer to with their own weird names so that when you first talk to someone you have no idea what they're saying except I guess I gotta take this thing to that place" kinda lore.
It's pretty fun piecing it all together though and learning how all the different worlds work.
