Dark Souls 3 really took the bullshit too far. The other ones were vague while just filled with enough interesting cryptic nonsense that kept it together. This game however is just straight up fucking retarded with the "lore."
Combine that with some of the most generic level design, and butchered the combat system with a terrible hybrid of Bloodborne/Souls and the series now seems stale as fuck.

While I agree that Dark Souls 3 is linear as fuck and NG+ is shit, these points are just plain retarded. This game is the most polished mechanics and the level design of individual levels is great.
