Things Rogue did better then BLACKED Flag
>greatly reduced tailing/eavesdropping missions
>great environment variety
>shorter, but less bloated
>rifle
Keep going.

Sadly it looks way worse than AC4 since it's just a straight last gen port and there's no current gen version with new water effects and improved foliage

It does? I own Black Flag on 360, Xbox One, and Ps4. And I love it. I only own Rogue on 360 and PC.
I never played an AC. Is this a good one to get? I also heard II is solid. Has it aged well?

>frozen wasteland ocean
>ultra high comfy levels during night blizzards
>boat upgrades improved on, pucklegun based
>amazing outfits, templar shay a best
I fucking love these "revolutionary-war" themed AC's, I played them all and I was not disappointed

If you can get 1 for super cheap, start with that. Worst case scenario you find it too repetitive, but if you start with any of the later games you'll never enjoy 1. ACII has aged well.
Not to start the slippery slope into that debate, but most asscreed games are too long for doing the same thing in the same tileset for hourssss
Rogue actually felt about right in its length and even had more diverse tilesets.I also like privateering among the ice floes like I'm some sort of anti-hero version of the Master and Commander movie a lot more than pirating the Caribbean.
When did steam profile threads become uncool op /v/?

So what you are proposing is that I play this for the story or continuity? I've heard the premise and it sounds stupid. I want to play this games just for the pleasure of walking around historical enviros

>clicking a thread of a game you don't like

A pirate open world game with no asscreed bullshit FUCKING WHEN
>>340165470
I'm not, actually. I'm saying if you play the later games, you'll find yourself infuriated by the lack of quality of life improvements that the later games introduce.
Help me, Bob, I'm bully in the alley,
Way, hey, bully in the alley!

Rumor was that Black Flag was to test the waters for a future pirate IP, but Ubisoft being Ubisoft likely decided to focus on their yearly rehashes instead.
