a few guys ran in and started warning people, and a bunch of us newbies hid in the tavern while some high levels guarded the doors. It was so cozy and autistic. Damn I miss those old memories. I was genuinely terrified and ready to log off the moment shit started getting real. The horror stories people told as they ran there from Falador were like the ramblings of PTSD world war veterans.

You spawn as a maxed account in Clan Wars, there's chests full of the best gear in the whole game. You can take whatever , then teleport to Falador and kill people.
I was around at the time but I wasn't a member back then. Still remember it though, how time flies.
