>>340143332
Would you believe me that I rented that from blockbuster?
>>340143332
>>340143450
I still remember the XPlay reviews, and all the preview shit they did
>>340143956
i would, bought the game retail barely 2 months after release for 3€. later lost my copy and shit.
from what i rememer, what i played of it was pretty fun.
the weird fake arcade game they made i remember being alright too.
that scifi run'n'gun game by dungeon siege devs, so forgettable
>>340143332
Battleborn
It's pretty fun
>>340144109
But this game was fun and the ost was great
>>340144192
I almost bought this the other day
our latest addition
>>340144408
If you have somebody to play with I totally would. It's a great party game like Smash or Mario Party, single player sucks ass though.
>>340144192
This is an amazing game actually.
>>340144192
Fantastic game. They need to remake it.
Make it like Overwatch, with tons of monsters to choose from, and a whole city capable of being thrown through.
>>340144386
i agree, it's just that people forget about videogames from the past generation.
this thread is to remind people of games that exist. in case they are looking to pick up something cheap.
>>340144250
Tbh i might've been among the best players in the world of a game for once, with how small the playerbase was
The knight was op though holy shit
Hexen II
>>340144983
Wasn't that supposed to compete with halo?
Actually pretty decent if you can look past the terrible story and Rad's design.
Rearmed's way better though.
>>340145189
What's better, that or Rearmed 2?
>>340144669
https://youtu.be/OVoyGUcXepc
The ending song is the best thing about this game
>>340143332
>>340144983
I always see these being sold for fucking pennies at EBgames, should I pull the trigger and pick them up next time I have some pocket change or should I just not bother?
>>340145298
Reboot easily, Rearmed 2's the worst game in the series (but still pretty fun).GameBoy Bionic Commando is the best.
>>340144495
Is this real? I can't believe they could make a bomberman edgy. Tell me it's shopped.
>>340145346
You might as well, I've known a few people who actually liked them.
>>340145189
Good game.
>>340145346
Dark Void is fun for a few hours if you can get it for cheap.I would get that. Never played Haze though
>>340145367
Nope, real. It came out in 2006 or 2007. Was total garbage and failed in every regard.
>>340145346
Dark Void somehow manages to make a really fun premise into the most boring game imaginable.
I've been posting about this for years and me and about ~15 other people seem to have liked it.
Would love a sequel or even a reboot someday.
>>340145502
It's like making a Mario or Kirby game edgy. It makes no sense.
I honestly thought this was just some dream I had for a while until I looked it up.
>>340145346
I really liked Dark Void personally. One of the best OST's in gaming also (far better than the game itself to be sure, but it's still fun)
>>340144908
this seems pretty cool
>>340145341
/v/ talks enough about it, is on my backlog
They just don't make sexy female sidekicks like this any more. Looks so dated now, it's like seeing an R&B video from 15 years ago and the fashion just looks laughable.
I am Alive
It went from vapourware to a tiny downloadable title from the arcade
>>340145710
Very few launch titles ever gain traction.
Didn't help that it wasn't exactly a strong one both technically and gameplay wise.
who /firstcivgame/ here
>>340145713
let's try that again
>>340145713
I think most people simply chose to forget Unreal 2. But yeah, her tits were great.
>>340145102
This game is pretty underrated tbqh
>>340145713
sexy latex dominatrix female characters died with the ps2.except for japanese releases i guess.
>>340143332
The DSi download title for this was legit as fuck.
>>340144775
I remember the press talking so well about Fracture, how your weapons could change the environment and you could use it to your advantage. And then nothing. Was it that bad?
>>340145801
>Very few launch titles ever gain traction.
Speaking of which, Red Steel 2 is a cult favorite but literally no one gives a shit about the first.
>>340145832
fuckin 10/10 game that. shame no one played it
>>340145904
Is that fucking Damnation
>>340145834
I had thisfor the DS
>>340145834
They did a great job condensing civ into a console and keeping it suitable complex and fun. Doom stacks and how weird multiplayer gets towards the end (it will eventually bug out and basically be real time when you're fighting your final super tank wars) are a downer though
>>340145962
Red Steel 3 when? 1 had some great ideas but the tech wasn't quite there. 2 is literally the best single player FPS we've had since fucking Perfect Dark or some shit.
>>3401459912bigfam
>>340145102
>>340145901
One of my favorite games.
Sure it lacks polish and the final boss fight is absolute ass but the ride and being the near only game with glaives made up for it.
Also surprisingly good spooky sections.
>>340144775
I loved this game. Was really cool and the ground transformation powers were novel as hell.
>>340143450
I never noticed how weird the face looks. What a bad angle, and the eyes are not symmetrical.
>>340146001
nah it's fucking darkwatch
>>340145962
Red steel was one of the few games I actually felt like I was playing a tech demo/sales pitch.
>>340145904
I fapped to the sex scene in this back in the day.
>>340145585
Thanks anon, played it in my childhood and never finished it
>>340145504
It hurts anon
Finally an MMO that's actually fun and then...
>>340145942
Turns out terrain deformation sounds really amazing on paper but is really fucking boring in practice. Same as realistic water physics, ray tracing, whatever. Accurate simulation does not equal fun gameplay
>>340145585
That was actually pretty fun and the file name is more accurate the people realize.
>>340146220
And then what?
I was pretty hyped for it but it died when I read how much of an empty fetch quest grind it was.
>>340145584

I got this game free on Steam from pre-ordering something else a few years ago. Played an hour and uninstalled, was so shitty.
>>340146313
not really that much of a grind desu
It just died out and had alot server issues when the free2play model was released.
Because of the almost complety dead fanbase I doubt it will stay alive for long, pretty depressing.

More like, fuck year that fuckin exists motherfucker

You do realise these kind of awful high-profile megabombs are actually memorable for the wrong reasons, right? People remember them.
This game was amazing.
>>340146568
is that game any good?
>>340146663
how is it compared to PAYNE?
>>340146652
WET wasn't a mega-bomb though. Just a sleeper.
Now fuse on the other hand
;-;
>>340146702
It's ok, combat was pretty shit though. Good music, story, and art, which is that devs schtick anyway.
>>340146652
Actually, I fucked that mass quote up, there's a bunch of mediocre-but-fondly-remembered titled there (Inversion, Fracture, Starcraft 64) in among the junk. Sorry.
>>340146778
Ehh, pretty sure Wet flopped.
But, yeah, shit like Fuse/Bomberman Zero/Haze/Brink will always be remembered for being massive bombs, though. They aren't "forgotten".
Even something like Knack will be remembered because it's fucking Knack.
>>340146827
I hope you didn't mean to include The Saboteur either. That game was fucking fantastic.
>>340146663
First play through was pretty fun
Multiplayer was good in the early days when people didn't exploit the fuck out of the slomo system and all the fucking bugs.
>>340146774

rip lionhead

>>340143332
I actually bought that game for 2 bucks during the last humble store sale and forgot that I did.
Thanks for reminding me, OP.
>>340147046
Oh man, I loved this game. So clever and unique. My sister and I played the shit out of it.
>>340147046
it just missed the youtube revolution, a real following for a game basically built to generate machinima in an era where the only competition was flash cartoons and red vs blue would have been awesome

If it was fun it would have enough of a playerbase to not be dying
I can't believe how many Star Trek fans seemingly ignored this game, it was great and had a ton of the actors from the shows and movies doing the voices, even Shatner and Patrick Stewart.
>>340143332
this applies to most of the early GFWL games IMO like shadowrun, universe at war, etc
>>340145713
Friendly reminder that major plot elements from the original halo trilogy were lifted wholesale from unreal awakening
>>340147507
Most of the Star Trek games that aren't the old Adventure games, Elite Force or Bridge Commander are forgotten by time.
It's a shame because there's some good Star Trek related shit out there.
>>340146365
Where can I grab it bud
>>340147507
I had a ton of fun with that one but fuck the first TNG mission. It's really cool being Picard the first time he takes the stargazer but the actual chore of saving the starbases from the planet chunks is fucking hard
>>340147507
Why must this no digital release meme persist?
>>340145497
I remember this
It was supposed to be the game that killed tf2
As was Monday night combat
Couldn't join a server on tf2 without people bitch in about some "tf2 rip off" coming out
I remember playing this on PS3 literally 5 years ago when it came out, and my brother beating the shit out of me because I sucked when we played Co-op. I was about 14 at that time.
>>340148007
>I was number 15 in the world in crossfire MNC for a while
The low budget Slav FPS production line seems to have stopped. There was pretty much one released every week in the 2000s
>>340148090
I have the demo for this installed because some WW1 thing a while ago reminded me it existed
H-Hey guys. Remember me?
N-No?
Well fine then. I'll just stand over here chilling with my buddies Asheron's Call, DAoC, and Anarchy Online.
>>340147220
Fuck you.
Time manipulation was dome so well.
>>340148032
They look like plastic green army men toys.
>>340145962
Red steel was clunky as fuck.
Nice weapons, but the sword fighting felt ass.
The second game however is the best Wii game.
>ywn be a sword swinging cowboy

>City Interactive
They haven't stopped, they've just expanded to other trash. They still come out with shit like Sniper: Ghost Warrior and Enemy Front, but they're also responsible for that Lords of the Fallen garbage.
If I still had an xbox 360 I'd go pick up a copy I see for sale at in a used game section of Walmart
I love grabbing forgotten games for like $3 and seeing if there's anything decent in them
>>340145102
I didn't really care much for it, but it holds a special place in my heart as one of the first 360 games I owned when I was too poor to just buy whatever I wanted.
>>340148418
That was an ok game, nothing really special about it gameplay wise.
>>340148418
This one's actually pretty good, arguably better than GoW3.

>>340145585

That sounds like a good laugh
Also, this game was actually really good
>>340148606

rip
>>340149351
Was pretty fun. I have the boxed game still. I wonder if I could get it to work offline.
The worst part is that Square Enix themselves forgot that it exists.
>>340144434
kek
I feel so old...
I don't want to make a new thread for this: does anyone remember a game released in 2000-2004 with a Templar on the cover? It was kind of a shitty action game with some rpg elements, you controlled this gay ass Templar in third person, you traveled around the world and shit, there were fantasy elements like, lady demons maybe? I don't know. I also recall a Rome/Ancient Greece themed level. I've been trying to find it for years now
>>340148694
This game and it's sequel were some of the funnest games i played on my ps1.
It baffles me why Twisted Metal got all the glory.
>>340149939
Eh?
>>340148759
It had some fun parts, but mostly felt uninspired in the gameplay department.
I would have loved a more complex interaction with earning the favor of gods. As it was, it was crossing off a checklist and using the points to buy skills.
I was also hoping for a twist beyondforeshadowed evil uncle, especially since Medea was in it.
>>340148413
they are improving though. Ever played one of the terrorist takedown games? In comparison to that, Lords of the fallen is the best game ever. Just sayin'
>>340150336
that's it. I had the second one though. thanks anon. what did people think of this? I remember being disgusted all the way through, it was unpolished as fuck. I also got stuck with some harpies who didn't let me pass at some point

bought this on saturday. literally one dollar at gamestop. its alright.
This game is stuck in my brain because I bought it just before I went on a date and I just wanted to go home and play it.
>>340151478
This game was so underappreciated. Played the shit out of it.
I used to love playing this at the arcade when I was a kid.
>>340143450
That game features THE best car chase in games and introduced me to 3 new bands.
The only problem it had was stiff as fuck combat.
>>340151483
Oh you GW1 grognards
>>340144109
hey
that game was pretty cool
Here's one I played for about 40 hours.
It had tons of grindan, then nothing.i miss being a medic
The precursor to Anarchy Reigns, a weird third person brawler/shooter in the Unreal franchise
>>340151642
It's a wound that's never going to heal, unfortunately.
>>340151825
And speaking of precursors, here's the russian version of Star Citizen from 2009
>>340145584

>>340151087

>3/4 of it is just boring wasteland with nothing of interest
>>340151782
I liked it, mmo shooter was a totally new thing for my wowbaby self
>>340152035
I remember trying to play this, but it wouldn't run because I had more than one monitor. If I disabled the other two, it'd run and then crash after starting a new game. Eventually I just gave up trying to play it.
>>340146774
Less atmospheric but with better combat.
>>340152119
It was janky as fuck, a lot like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. except in star wars setting and with ship combat and lots of different planets to go to. Shit was off the hook ambitious. I think that company makes like phone games and text adventures now.
>>340150969
this game was really fun, if its the one im thinking of.
"hey lets make a racing game with real cars thats actually fun"
>>340144250
>tfw mashing the throw javelin button the instant the timer finishes and getting a headshot

>>340148018
>my brother beating the shit out of me

>>340147443
This. They easily built enough hype to get a lot of people try the game. I remember people talking about it all the time when it was about to come out. Obviously none of them felt like it was worth sticking around.
Personally I didn't even care to try it because the art direction was atrocious, like if Pixar fucked its cousin who then drank during the pregnancy.

>>340148032

It's actually a pretty fucking great game.
Also applies to Scarface.
Not as much to The Warriors, since everyone knows that game is the shit.
>>340153017
Isn't that game unbeatable?
>>340154794

Was super hyped for the game and it seemed like it had Crysis level of graphics but it turned out to just be "ok".
