Study the attack patterns, everything is easy to avoid
This boss also has 3 phases so just take your time and be calm.
You also might want to search for some more health upgrades

This game was basically like an NES demake of Metroid Fusion. Except its graphics are much worse than actual NES games.

The game itself seems alright but the graphics are pure ass. Even with the NES sprite limitations you can usually tell what the fuck you're looking at. If it was made by one guy I understand though.
This boss nearly made me ragequit.
There is another boss soon (maybe the next one, can't quite remember) that is the absolute peak of bullshit boss design in this game. All bosses after it are fine though, and the game is fun, so try persevering.

The level design though, blows the shit out of just about every other Metroidvania except for Super and SotN. It's absolutely brilliant and you're doing yourself a disservice by skipping it just because of the way it looks
It's also tough as nails where most metroidvanias as piss easy
