I bought this game a while back and I finally played it only to uninstall it once I got to Monsoon, because he's such a bullshit boss with a shitty block system. I push forward and X and I other don't block or I block, but then his other attacks go through.

It's a bad system. The tutorial says to push forward and the X when you see the red attack is coming which is what I do, but Monsoon does his red attack and then I do the parry but his attacks still go through.

The parry system doesn't really work. I see the red mark on Monsoon, hit forward and X, block his attack but for some reason the rest of his attacks after don't get blocked.

Never had any issues with blocking against Monsoon. The only thing that caught me unprepared was the smoke bomb that can damage you if you're too close.

well one of the reasons why he doesn't have to specify that is HOW the soundtrack is used, with the vocal tracks coming in during the finishing QTE's, which makes the soundtrack more memoriable.
when someone says RULES OF NATURE, anyone who's played the game can see Raiden stopping that blade and throwing the Metal Gear up into the air in their heads, and when they hear "THE ONLY THING I KNOW FOR REAL, THERE WILL BE BLOOOOOOOD....SHED!" they know that play time is over.

MGR's soundtrack is actually really good. Yeah the lyrics are pretty "generic action game theme" but I'd say that's intentional. From a technical standpoint most of the songs are great (almost all bosses theme are hype as fuck) and the way the game incorporates the songs into the gameplay makes it even better.
