HoS doesnt matter. The dialogue changes based on when you do it. BoS is better played after the story though.

I can't bring myself to beat the story again. I don't know why. But I'd say play the story first. One of the endings to HoS gives you special sword. Pretty much anything with that sword becomes butter. Unless you're into it being easy.

The original movement has some inertial to it which makes it feel weird. The alternative movement option they added later disables this.

Have to agree. I switched to alternate movement once it suddenly appeared in my options. I thought it was alternate animations for sword attacks for some reason. I never even noticed my actual movement changing at all before I read what it actually was supposed to do lately.

If you're looking for witcher armor, the Wolven set can be found around Kaer Morhen and Skellige. If you're looking for heavier armor, you could try the Ursine set on Skellige, which in my opinion looks the coolest aside from the Wolven & Manticore. If you like your armor but not satisfied with the stats, take it to the Runewright far east in Velen and he can change your armor and weapons in a number of waysImplying you've done the quest for him $$$$$$
