Playing GTA IV, why does driving feel like ass?

Because it is ass. However, you can edit a text file to make it more tolerable. I don't remember the exact name, but try Googling "handling text edit gta4" or something like that.

Went back to gta 4 last night and it feels better in almost every aspect to 5... gta 5 seems to have been dumbed down in the physics department

Worst issue was not the driving but the fucking traffic which is kinda realistic because it's Liberty City aka NYC not some abandoned shit hole like Los Santos with no life in it

they tried to make handling in gta 4 realistic, but they totally overdid it.
I really like how bikes handle in 4, you feel a lot of control. Cars in 5 are fun as fuck to drive, in 4 they have their moments but if you have to pick up speed then they turn into boats and neither turn, brake or drift.
