I heard the GBA was a 32-bit console and actually more powerful than the SNES and Genesis. However, looking at the software, there is nothing that comes to mind that looks better than the SNES's best. The DKC ports for the GBA look much worse than their SNES originals. Metroid Fusion and Zero Mission likewise also does not look as good as Super does.

There are a few software titles that looked nice, like pic-related, but they are few and far in between.

So what games on the GBA really showed off its power?
>>
Swordcraft Story 2 looks better than most snes games.
Also Shining Souls 2, Drill Dozer, Klonoa empire of dreams, Klonoa Dream champ, Rivera, the KOF gba games and megaman zero series

>pre-rendered dogshit
That does not make GOOD GRAPHICS, assholes.
>>
Wasn't there a Need For Speed game for the GBA that looked much better that the DS version?
>>
>>340045424
GBA is definitely more powerful. The SNES and GEN had pretty bad lag, especially when particle effects were used. The GBA also (obviously) has better colors, although the resolution is a bit smaller.

All graphics are pre rendered. Assets are not just pulled out of the void.
>>
>>340045424
Mario superstar saga looked pretty good imo, not much of a difference than its sequel

Highg budget games like Pokemon, EXE and Mario has great AA or whatever technology that make border look crisps

Counting only pixelated one, I'll go with this

The best looking SNES games used the SuperFX chip. DKC, Yoshi's Island, etc. Also SNES games are rendered at a higher resolution than GBA games, which results in better viewing on larger screens.

However the GBA alone contains more powerful hardware.

DKC didn't use the FX chip, you stinky nigger.

You're a retard and have no idea what you're talking about.

GBA is miles beyond SNES and Genesis graphically because of its modern architecture. You must not have played many GBA games.

GBA has a bunch of full 3D games for one, and that's without hiding a 3D processor in the game cartridge. More importantly, the GBA has image manipulation capabilities not seen on the SNES like rotating and scaling images, which allows for a lot of fancy visuals.

For some of the most impressive looking GBA games, see Golden Sun or Gunstar Super Heroes. Also >>340048186 for 3D graphics.

Oh look the expert is here.
They never came with proof tho. At best they bring Wikipedia articles
>>
>>340050841
GBA couldn't do actual 3D. Just sprite manipulation to fake 3D. And what is Mode 7 on the SNES?

In depth specs on the SNES:

GBA(also cover DS/DSi, just ignore those sections):

You can do software rendered 3D on the GBA, not sprite manipulation.

GBA has many polygonal 3D games, some have been posted in this thread.

And anyone who tries to claim that the SNES can compare to the GBA in terms of specs is completely ignorant.
>>
I think sprites from Mario vs Donkey Kong looked pretty good.
>>
>>340052369
No one has fucking said they're similar spec wise. The GBA had better specs but worse looking ports (and not just because of resolution) and shittier sound.

And name some examples of games with polygonal 3D.

>GBA has many polygonal 3D games, some have been posted in this thread.
Those games don't use "real" 3D, they use a raycasting system like Doom which the SNES and genesis were capable of.

>And what is Mode 7 on the SNES
That kind of does speak to his assertion that the GBA is more poweful, SNES had a dedicated hardware accelerated mode for that affect, GBA doesn't and has to do it manually in software per scanline.
>>
More powerful? definitely
But the sound is so bad it's unbearable.

Someone tell me this could have been done on the SNES, I need a good laugh.

Also, you may think at first that the ground is Mode 7. But then it starts having inclines and hills.
>>
>>340047653
This.
>>
>>340053672
No one is denying the GBA is technically more powerful than the SNES. That doesn't stop it from being worse in some aspects.
