That was actually a response to a different issue altogether, I was thinking of Odin Sphere, which only has a few weeks difference in release. And I already preordered it anyway.
A whole two games for the Vita coming out in relative succession has apparently fucked with my perception of reality.

There was a problem with Muramasa because there was no physical release for it in the PAL regions, so NA copy holders couldn't get the DLC from the PAL PSN store. It was pretty annoying and I'd honestly like to avoid it where possible.
