Pokemon mainline sales have been steadily dropping since the series was created, Pokemon X and Y sold roughly 15 million copies. Do you honestly believe that more than 30 million people would buy a new game, along with a 300 dollar investment, just because of prettier graphics? You really don't know shit

Nintendo has been suffering to justify a $60 pricetag for years now. Mario Kart 8 was giving out free games for early adopters, Star Fox Zero was $50 and they had to append another game to it to push the price up to $60. People would not find mildly better graphics sufficient incentive to buy a console and a more expensive game when statistically they already own the handheld and they already know what type of gameplay to expect.
