Never grew up with mechwarriors. How is this game?

Fukkin fun. Really arcadey compared to other Mechwarriors, they quadrupled hit points so fights are always slugfests. But still loads of fun creating a Merc company, blasting fools in the arena, and multiplayer is great.
They also super restricted weapon slots, can only replace missiles with different sizes/kinds of missiles for example. But it keeps down the cheese and med laser spam from older games, and makes sure each mech feels unique. Literally the only game ive ever played were removing options and freedom made for a better game.

I played the fuck out of MW2, Mercs, and 3. Barely touched 4 and yeah, MWO was garbage during the beta but I tried it again a couple months ago and it's actually good now.

I was a Legendary Founder for MWO, and thinking about the game makes me actually angry. I haven't supported an early release/founder program since. The only saving grace is at least i got double digits worth of gameplay out of my cash, even had fun for some of it. My brother in law dropped $180 on Star Citizen years ago and still has zero to show for it.

Theyre both great, but play very different. MW3's multiplayer sucked however, and I could never get it to work on newer machines.
