I would rather have it me playing against player of my own skill level like the description says. That way the matches would be even. Instead it first throws me against idiots and we stomp them. No fun to be had when the people cant even fight back. Then it throws me against a 5-6 stack team that are all lvl90 and my team has lvl1 people, no joke. We get stomped hard and thats no fun either. Once in a blue moon there is an actual balanced match, yet its not worth suffering through 20 matches to get ONE decent one.
How much I win doesnt matter, how many balanced, even matches I get matters.
The 50% winrate panders to terrible players who would never win against completely random teams so it gives everyone a chance to win. Blizzard admitted with this heroes of the storm and they carried it over to Overwatch due to its audience being mostly retards.

It's like the FPS version of Heroes of the Storm.
The game is pretty fun but the characters are bland and the maps are boring so you get burnt out really quickly. Especially the maps that have so many weird side areas that only lead back to the main route. I don't know who they're there for since you're forced to take the straight path on most maps and any character that wants to be high-up or flank around has a move that avoids terrain altogether.
But when they release the new character I'll probably come back to it and go non-stop for a couple days again, just like HotS.

Its a fun game no doubt, anyone saying its shit is ignoring the fact there are over 1 million people playing right now. Will it stand the test of time?
Blizzard is not known for releasing a game for a quick cashgrab. Diablo 2 and wc3 still receive small updates every now and then. sc2 dying is not entierly their fault and hots was trying to take on a market already flooded with mobas. They will continue to maintain this game at the same pace as wow and hearthstone, being updated every few months. It also has a huge playerbase that ranges from hardcore fps players to babbies first time with a gun players. Its hyper casual format allows for anyone to play and feel good so I dont see it dying anytime soon.
There are some negative points however that point to overwatch dying over the years. Its hyper casualness attracts quite a large playerbase but this will enventually be grinded off when the hardcore fps shooters playerbase grows and starts massacring the casual audience. With the lack of dedicated servers players wont have a choice but to que up and hope there isnt a good widowmaker on the opponent team. The hardcore audience will eventually leave after being exposed to far too many casual elements (shallow gameplay, ult charging just through participation) and boring heroes (mercy and lucio are too passive).
I think with the addition of dedicated servers, heroes, a map creator, maps, and different game modes this game will continue to have high numbers but without further changes, players will quit in droves and move to the next new hot thing

I had 60% overall winrate and 65-75% on my best characters on solo queue. Yeah, premades are generally better but you can still get shitter teammates in pick up games. Yeah, I realize that eventually I'd run into opponents skilled enough that I'd trade 50/50 on my best days. But the game does not actively try to make you lose by pairing you with shitters or giving you superior opponents. It's just trying to match people as closely as it can.

This is why Overwatch will never survive past it's first few months. The moment something else shiny and multiplayer comes out, the CoD kids will drop Overwatch like a rock. It's in their nature. Keep in mind, it's barely 2 weeks after its release now. I had a lot of fun this long with many games. It's just too early to make general claims like that.
Keep also in mind that the others you play with contribute to the fun you may or may not have. Being forced to play with scrubs is not much fun, or simply being dominated by god like players can even be infuriating. Also completely stomping the enemy in under 4 minutes is not overly fun either, I find myself feeling bad for those guys and the win was cheap. I sometimes even let their Mercy alive because I know how frustrating playing her with idiots can be. Yes I know I probably am an idiot for doing this.
