Firstly, on the PSP version, the wrench swings too slow, leaving you too open to attack. In addition to that, you cannot jump mid-swing like in all home console releases; you are stuck in the swing animation, ripe for the enemy shots.
The camera jumps with you, obstructing the view and leading to cheap deaths sometimes. This is retarded, and is inexcusable.
The armor system is neat in theory, HOWEVER, older armor becomes obsolete every two levels, making it frustrating to use older sets on later planets. In the end, yo uare forced to use the last armor set you find, unless you want to die in two hits. Cool little idea, implemented like shit.
At the end, you learn that THE INVENTORS OF TECHNOLOGY are pissed and want their recognition back, and probably revenge. What a cool plot point! Do they follow up on that?????? NO! The technomite leader is just a generic bad guy who wants to take over the world. You beat him, and all of the technomites, WHO INVENTED TECHNOLOGY and STILL EXIST, are never brought up again.

I've been playing it all day today and I had none of those issues you described. In fact I've had the wildfire armor on for the whole game just cuz i think it looks good with the godzilla skin.
damage reduction is stupid anyway, it just makes the game easier than it already is. also there are cheap deaths in every ratchet game.
the plot is goofy, like every ratchet game, although if you are sperging out over them using a URL then I probably can't hope to see things from your perspective
i don't find the game repetitive at all, i've been using all my weapons to level them evenly and the bolt economy is solid as always.
the only thing in the game i hate is the same thing i hated in any other Ratchet game, and that's fucking hoverboarding. i hate that it became like a series staple to have a forced hover-thing race, they are just awful and not fun at all

In the Insomniac games, sure. However, in Size Matters the fire armor is my favorite. And that is the first set available. It blocks next to nothing, so it is useless at the end. That is similar to weapons in Ratchet 2, when they become obsolete, forcing you to buy new ones. However, on challenge mode you can upgrade the weapons again, making all of them equally powerful, giving you the freedom to use whatever weapon you like best. That is giving choice to the player.
