A good game should have skippable cutscenes and logos, or should at least ASK if you want to see them first (with a disclaimer that you probably won't understand the plot in the first few hours). Also - fuck tutorials, that's what instruction manuals are for. It's not fucking Ulysses or The Tempest, but a picture of a keyboard/gamepad and a little bit of text, surely the ADHD generation can stomach this much.

I know, and they used to be works of art unto themselves, or at least incredibly helpful. Morrowind GOTY had a visual walkthrough/map of Vvardenfel/hintbook and a few example builds, along with info on characters, attributes and birthsigns. Nowadays I need to spend 15-20 minutes browsing GameFaqs to find an okay guide.

The solution is simple, skip the tutorial or give the option to do so. The problem is the 'narrative design' pushed by shit companies like Valve in Half Life where you're given 'agency' in a sense that you have to walk side by side with character giving you exposition for minutes on end.
