I don't really play vidya anymore, but I find myself craving an old school RPG / dungeon crawler to play.
Are there any worth the effort? I remember playing and liking:

Diablo II mods are pretty damn good, too. Don't bother with Torchlight, it's very bland.

Closed beta in Korea/China is supposed to start this month. The devs have been very quiet on the game though.
Yeah just play path of exile, OP. It's the best of the genre currently, and it's free. Pretty much infinite builds with the skill system.

Divinity: Original Sin
It's a modern old school crpg where you could conceivably kill every npc, and shit like that. It offers real freedom and doesn't take itself too seriously.
It has an Enhanced Edition (which I prefer) and a classic edition and a sequel is on the way.

Any build can carry you through the game granted you don't go full retard on gear.
I've beaten HC Ultimate with a Ranged Sorcerer, Ranged Elementalist and Melee Spellbreaker, all self found builds, and also plenty of times on Softcore.

Torchlight 2 is not so good. You're just better off playing Diablo 2 or path of exile. I actually enjoyed Diablo 3 after all the fixes more than torchlight 2.
