My desk has a hutch, so the tower is sitting on top of it. There's about 10 inches of space between the tower and the ceiling.
It has great airflow and the rear ports are very easily accessible,, and I use twist-ties and some large binder clips clipped to the desk to support the weight of the cables hanging down.
It also gets a lot less dust being up near the ceiling.

Lucked out and got the bottle and lid for a few dollars each at a goodwill. Both were new goods from target, lid had a crushed box and a scuff on the bottle.
A tip some might not realize, based on some reviews on amazon mentioning mold. The silicon stopper in the lid pops out for drying after washing.

I have my tower and monitor on my (corner) desk which was broken 5 years ago, I can lay and stand on the broken desk which is really just the right side and top leaning on the leftside with a wedge of wood to keep it balanced properly. I lost half the space compared to when it was whole but wouldn't swap it out for anything thats not insanely expensive.
I got my tv on my second slightly smaller desk right next to it.
I'd be more worried about standing on the tv desk than the pc desk, the top is thinner and wouldn't support me.
