This is /v/ after all. I too fell for the "no it sux" meme. Took me a year before I actually picked up fallout 4. But you know what? It does suck. The world is less threatening, the enemies act like tards in the base game. But! Survival mode and Far Harbor made it playable. Fallout 4 should have had far harbor as its base game and not that faggy main story it has. I can safely say that fallout 4 is officially good now. You don't even need many mods, just minimal. It is still Fallout.

Far harbor looked shit-tier at first then after trying it I came to the conclusion that it's decently fun. But I think mods will be the savior of this game

It's just a shooter that has some game play elements from older fallout games and lots of new invented shit that does not fit into the atmosphere - it's very boring.

Survival mode only lets you save in beds. And you can't save in beds that you find out in the wasteland because those are dirty and you can get sick from sleeping in them.
The only time the game saves is when you sleep in a clean bed at one of your settlements.
