Symmetra basically has a variable usefulness based on whether you are attack or defense.
For defense, her usefulness is greatest when the attackers have not captured the first point(s) or moved the payload very far yet.
For attackers, her usefulness is greatest when you are at one of the last points or the payload is closer to the end.
It's just because the distance from your spawn either decreases for defenders, or increases for attackers, as the match goes on. And her teleporter is better the longer the distance from the spawn to the frontline is.

Tracer is only counter listed there. Everyone else widowmaker 1 shots. Tracer is hard to hit and can get to her easily. Anyone else forces there way to her dies. Reaper occasionally can counter but is map dependant. He teleports and widow can simply grapple away. Dva is actually annoying to deal with as widowmaker but hurts other team just by having a dva. Winston wont die but to pursue a widow leaves his team fucked and puts him way out of position.

Because videogames and by extension shooters are mainstream now. Back in the day people played multiplayer FPS games because they wanted a challenge, they wanted to compete against other live players and test their skillsets all while learning from mistakes and bettering themselves over time. If you had no interest in these ideals then you just didn't play the game, people understood what the genre was about and either played or stayed away from it because of that.
Now? they saw a commercial for it during the walking dead and it looks fun so why not! They just want to open boxes, show off skins, and run around without a care in the world because it's just a game.

I have played with greater players than me, and worse players than me. And every time we win it is because the team in communicating and fullfilling roles. If a tactic isn't working - because shocker - the other team is changing things up, you communicate and decide on how to counter it. That is the game in a nutshell. Maining a character as a principle is only helpful when that hero is needed. Otherwise everyone should be able to pull rank in any other position as another hero when needs be.and not be a little bitch about it

Well yeah, but it's myopinionthat support heroes are good in offense and defense situations. They have to many tools to fuck up assaults and punish shitters going for the objective. It all comes down to what people do with these characters. The amount of bullshit you can pull off with Tracer and Symmetra is fucking insane. Sure, they both have hard counters, but there's ways around that with a minimum amount of coordination and some strategy.

Quick Play uses MMR and does not allow for drop in/drop out gameplay, once a match begins you cannot leave without being punished.
It's not like a 15v15 CS pub where people are just there to practice and no one really cares about the end result, Overwatch is a competitive mode only title and is far more delicate towards player choices due to being class based and only 6v6.
