Looks Mega Man to me. I just pre-bought it on amazon for PS4 but i am biased because i'm a huge MM fan.

The game is perfectly fine. /v/ just shits on it because, well, it's /v/.

This. Never listen to the fucking retards on here who say a game is shit. The people that complain about games have never even played the game they complain about.

Nice b8, m8s, but THIS is how you trigger people.

I would be okay with MM9 if its marketing campaign weren't so embarrassing.

How do I stop myself from thinking this looks fun? because that video makes the game look fun.
The game's fine, but god damn were there some major PR trip ups. Japan shouldn't be making kickstarter games without a U.S. based department.

Why are you upset. I'm not saying you have to like it, I'm just saying I have second thoughts now.
Honestly, I'm not feeling it at all. I feel the movement is trying to employ some of the speed of X and the level design of classic without heavily going into either. The movement and animations feel clunky. The levels look like something slapped together in a level creator in some other game, with boxes and other obstacles spawned from a preset list of items. Enemies designs are lacking, with the art style as a whole kind of not coming together perfectly. Worst of all, the levels themselves just feel too static and uninteresting. I'm not saying that MM2 or 3 designs had a lot going for them, but these levels seem to have smaller chambers overall with fewer instances of actual platforming. I checked out the 2015 level playlist, and there doesn't seem to be much variety outside of pure appearance in these levels. There's nothing wrong with focusing on strong points, but with so little variety in terrain and how you move from point A to B, I feel this will keep me from genuinely enjoying this game. That said, maybe level select will change up how you approach different obstacles like in older MM titles, enough so to make multiple runs interesting.
More than anything, this game just comes across as obligatory to me. "We sort of made a new MM game" is all I'm getting from this. It won't be bad, but it won't be anything special. It just feels like a bunch of different ideas were thrown together in a pot and they just hoped what came out would be good. I swear I'm not hating this game because it's cool to do so. I just can't get excited about it.
