So now that the dust has settled, can we all agree that this was actually a pretty shitty game and that we only pretended to like it to rationalize our decision in purchasing a PS4?
nah, it's good.
But it's also not as good as some of the more rabid fanboys make it out to be, there are a lot of pacing and boss issues with the main game.
Also, I feel like far too many people are really forgiving after the dlc, which on it's own, doesn't get enough criticism.

Very little replay value on the whole compared to the Souls games, but it had a better setting to be honest. Lovecraft and werewolves and shit in Victorian England while avoiding the trap of excessive steampunk shit.
The biggest flaw it had was how it pretty much had one style of gameplay. You had to be a nimble close range fighter.
No real long range options, no magic, no heavy tank options, no slow heavy damage builds, just nimble fighters.
As such I got bored with it far faster than any of the DS games..

Go for the parries, especially when it whips it's hair back and forth. The windows is big and you gain temporary invulnerability from the poison. Having a +3 weapon is essential.
